impression of canada

I have been Toronto more than five months. Although i came here nearly half a year, I can remember the first day that i arrived this beautiful country. Before i came here, i was exited and worried about the new life, new country and new environment. When i got off the plane, i felt the air is fresh and the sky is clean. Everything is clam and clean. On the way from airport to York University, i was looking outside from car's window all the time. The first impression is that this city like small town, small and low houses, friendly people, less restaurants, but peaceful and simple. it is totally different with my city.

September 5th was the test day in YUELI, i was so nervous and excited. Unfortunately, My writing was not good enough, so i studied in level 4. However, i like this class and that teacher. Everyone is friendly and patient. My speaking skills is not very well. Sometimes i cannot speak frequently and completely, but my teacher and classmates always encouraged me and said "try again". You know, that time i felt so warm and thankful. i love that class and i will never forget my first class in Canada.

The first night in Toronto, i stayed in my homestay. The homestay mother is so friendly and made me feel comfortable. Because of the cost, i moved out and lived with my friend in an apartment. We adorned our new home and bought furniture. The most exciting things are that we assembled the beds and tables by ourselves. Although i cut my finger, i felt happy.

I think that i am a brave girl because i study and live in a new country by myself. I must do everything by myself. I hope i will have a happy life in Canada.

Most exciting day in the last month

December 26th was the most exciting day in the last month because it was my eighteen years old birthday. This was the first year that i didn't received the present from my mum. Although i can not spend my birthday with my parents, there were lots of friends came to my home and spent the happy time with me.

December 25th, my friends who study in waterloo came to my home and we cooked a delicious dinner together. Until the 12 o'clock, we finished the great dinner. There were chichken wings, vegetables, beefsteaks, a cake, and fruit on the table. Everyone was happy and enjoy the dinner. When the clock passed the 12, everyone said happy birthday to me and gave me their presents. This was the first year that there were many friends spent the birthday time with me. After dinner, we played the card till the sun rises.

December 26th is the boxing day in Canada. People get up early and go shopping because the goods in this day are on sale. On that day, i woke up because my cellphone was ringing three times, then there was a loudly sound said:" what are you doing? it is late to get the cheapest clothes." I didn't care about that, but i decided to buy a present for myself. We spent eight hours to choose the present and buy lots of beautiful clothes. I was so happy because these new clothes, and so sad because i cost lots of monney. All in all, I had a very happy 18 years old birthday! Thanks my friends.....

Chunli ^ ^

Chunli is a Chinese girl who comes from north of China, Daqing. When she was young, she left home to study in south of China. Now, she came to Canada for studying. She is a brave and diligent girl.

Chunli likes Design very much, but she will major in Accounting in York University. She has been Toronto nearly 6 months and lived with her friend, Qian. During this time, she studied in yueli. Now, she is in level 5a. Although her English skill is not very well, she trys her best to study. Her recently motto is : studying harder, coming back to home earlier.

Chunli's birthday is December 26th. The interesting things is the same day as Chinese great president whose name is Zedong Mao. Most people heard "Chunli" at the fist time will be smile because Chunli is a chinese girl 's name who is in the computer game. When she was young, she didn't like this name. Gradually, she likes this name because she believes that this name will bring luck to her.
